David Russell is Mr. Henry Brown and Mrs. Mary Brown’s American nephew. Judy and Jonathan’s cousin and Paddington‘s foster cousin. He only appears in the TV series Paddington Bear

History[]
David Russell appears only in the 1989 Hanna-Barbera TV series Paddington Bear. At the beginning of the series, he states he is 12 (and a half) years old. He has never visited the UK before.
In this iteration of the story, Mrs. Mary Brown and Mr. Henry Brown are waiting at Paddington Station for David when they meet Paddington. David's mother is Mrs. Brown's sister.
When they arrive home from the station, David plans a ruse in which he pretends Paddington is his stuffed toy in order to get him past Mrs. Bird and to the bathroom, so Paddington can clean up after accidentally covering himself with marmalade.

He is cheerful. He is very supportive of Paddington and often seems to have more lines than Judy or Jonathan.

David has black hair. He often wears a yellow sweater over a white collared shirt, paired with blue pants.
