Paddington in Peru is a upcoming live-action CGI animated adventure-comedy film based on the stories of the character Paddington Bear created by Michael Bond. Its pre-production title is "'Paddington 3" and it was scheduled to start filming on July 24, 2023.
It is the second sequel to the 2014 film Paddington and is produced by Heyday Films and StudioCanal. The new production company for this sequel is the American film developer Alcon Entertainment.

Production[]
In June 2016, StudioCanal CEO Didier Lupfer stated that the studio was committed to making a third Paddington film. [1]
The story for the film has been written by Paul King, Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton. The screenplay will be penned by Mark Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamont.[2]
Paul King has confirmed that a script is 'well-developed and coming on nicely',[3] and that he is co-writing and executive producing the film, although he has stepped down as director. This will be the first Paddington film not directed by King.
In July 2021, it was announced that shooting for the film would begin in spring 2022.[2] It is assumed that this was halted due to COVID.
On 13 June 2022, it was announced that Paddington 3 had found a director and an official title.[4] Dougal Wilson has been named as the director in his feature film debut for the newly named "Paddington in Peru". Filming is set to begin in London, Peru and Colombia on 24 July 2023 while casting are in talks and Emily Mortimer's character to replace Mary Brown.[5]
On 23 October 2023, the release dates were announced as they changed it to November 8, 2024 in the UK and January 17, 2025 in the United States. They replaced Rachel Zegler in recast of Gina Cabot due to actors strike.[6] However, the release date was changed again to February 14, 2025, on Presidents Day and Valentine's Day weekend for United States release date.[7]

- This is the first Paddington movie not to feature Sally Hawkins reprising as Mrs. Brown, as she's officially replaced by Emily Mortimer, and possibly again in other future Paddington films.
