Uncle Pastuzo is the uncle of Paddington and the husband of his wife Aunt Lucy. He appeared in Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017), and was voiced by Michael Gambon in both films.
History[]
Paddington (2014)[]
In Paddington (2014), he was found by the explorer. The explorer showed them his possessions, including a jar of marmalade which Pastuzo finished in seconds. When the explorer left Darkest Peru to return home, he gave Pastuzo his Red Hat.
During the earthquake, Pastuzo tried to help Aunt Lucy escape from being trapped under a large tree branch, but due to how heavy it is, he realised that they couldn't all make it in time to the shelter, so he ordered Paddington and Lucy to leave him and run, which they reluctantly did after he go her free, and was killed by being crushed, albeit off-screen, by the earthquake. In the aftermath, Lucy and Paddington grieved over him, and Lucy later gave Pastuzo’s hat to him when Paddington had to leave to go to London, to honour her late spouse, which he continued to wear throughout both the movies.
